The DSX 40 can be expanded to approx 8 lines 16 digital stations and 10 analog stations. The DSX 80 can be expanded to approx 32 lines (max) 32 digital stations (max) and 32 analog stations (max), or a maximum of 80 ports (combination of total lines, digital and analog stations). The DSX 160 can be expanded to approx 64 lines (max) 96 digital stations (max) and 96 analog stations (max), or a maximum of 160 ports (combination of total lines, digital and analog stations). This excludes off site locations with IP phones that go through the broadband connection, enabling greater expandability!

Warranty Information
Need to send in an item to repair during the warranty period? NEC and Hotphones warrants for a period of twenty four (24) months from the invoice date, that this product will substantially conform to the applicable specifications for such product published by NEC at the time of sale, and will be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use and service when correctly installed and maintained. The serial number of the item in question is verified and has to match the serial number on record before warranty work is approved.
Many manufacturers have different policies when it comes to exchanges or repairs during the warranty period. Even though an item that failed under normal use during the warranty period will be replaced or repaired at no cost to you according to the manufacturers terms and conditions, most manufacturers require that exchanges or repairs during that warranty period be handled directly through the dealer that the equipment was purchased from. Equipment under warranty that failed under normal use be repaired or replaced under that manufacturers warranty terms as long as the equipment has failed under normal use and was not user damaged. If you have an item that needs to be repaired during the warranty period, Hotphones, if needed, will be happy to handle the repair transaction for you or even expedite the assignment of the RMA (return authorization) number from the manufacturer. All equipment sold by Hotphones includes the manufacturers warranty information, or is provided through the manufacturers web site. Depending on manufacturer, date of purchase, condition of equipment, other restrictions may apply. NEC's liability for any product which is shown to be defective during its warranty is limited to replacing the product or part thereof with a functionally equivalent product or part, or repairing the product. NEC shall select which of the above warranty remedies to utilize concerning any particular product.
The above warranty excludes coverage for products which were installed, repaired or maintained by an unauthorized service provider or which were subjected to misuse, abuse, improper installation or application, improper maintenance or repair, alteration, accident or negligence in use, improper temperature, humidity or other environmental condition (including, but not limited to, lightning or water damage), storage, transportation, or handling, unless caused by NEC.
THE HARDWARE PRODUCTS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PREVENTION, DETECTION OR DETERRENCE OF TOLL FRAUD, COMPUTER VIRUSES OR OTHER UNAUTHORIZED OR IMPROPER USE OF THE HARDWARE PRODUCTS.
All installation and programming procedures as recommended by the manufacturer must be followed according to the instructions provided in the system manuals and documentation. If an item being returned was defective upon arrival, that item will be replaced by the manufacturer. If an item arrives defective due to damage caused during shipping or other reasons, it will be classified as an OBF (Our of Box Failure). OBF's MUST be reported within 14 days, otherwise the manufacturer will consider the item to have arrived in working condition and became damaged after the item was installed and/or programmed. Any item found to be defective within 14 days of receipt and considered to be an OBF that was not user damaged during this time may be exchanged through Hotphones or the manufacturer for that same new item. An item that arrived in perfect working condition that was damaged after installation and/or programming, even within 14 days of receipt, cannot be considered an OBF. After 14 days an item cannot be considered an OBF and the regular manufacturers warranty will take effect. Hotphones, its affiliates, or the equipment manufacturer, shall not be held liable for any down time due to equipment exchanges or repair. We recommend that you immediately check all equipment as soon as it arrives in case any exchanges need to be made. All the major manufacturers that we partner with will immediately exchanging any equipment that may have arrived damaged and is classified as an OBF, but you should make such claims within 14 days. After 14 days of receipt an item cannot be considered an OBF, and the regular Terms and Conditions from that manufacturers warranty policy will apply.
